A local organization serving displaced communities

SEMDO was founded in Baidoa in 2019 to meet the education and health needs of families affected by displacement, drought and poverty.

We combine emergency relief with long-term programs, and we are guided by respect, impartiality, accountability and innovation.

Our volunteers are running awareness sessions on clean water, proper sanitation and hygiene, and the protection of women, girls and boys – giving communities the knowledge and resources to sustain these improvements.
