SAFA Education and Medical Development Organization (SEMDO) is a national non-governmental and non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable communities through humanitarian assistance, education, healthcare, protection, and sustainable development initiatives across Somalia.

Founded in Baidoa, SEMDO was established with the vision of creating stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities by addressing the root causes of poverty, inequality, and vulnerability. We work closely with local communities, government institutions, civil society organizations, and development partners to deliver impactful programs that promote human dignity, self-reliance, and long-term development.

Our work focuses on improving access to quality education, strengthening healthcare services, protecting vulnerable populations, empowering youth, enhancing water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services, and supporting food security and sustainable livelihoods. Through community-driven approaches and evidence-based interventions, we strive to create lasting positive change for individuals and families in need.
